The Journal of Technical Writing and Communication (JTWC) is one of several prestigious international scholarly journals in the field of technical and professional communications. Published quarterly, JTWC strives to meet the diverse communication needs of industry, management, government, and academia. The terms “professional” and “technical” as well as “writing” and “communication” are used fairly interchangeably in the field. While there are some differences highlighted below, generally understand that any of these combinations refers to presenting information to audiences with the ultimate purpose of getting work done. Size: Most journals come in standard paper sizes (A4, A5, B5, A6, etc.), but you may want to check the measurements if you're unsure. We recommend selecting a journal that's small enough to carry with you, but not so small as to be inconvenient. Number of pages: Most journals contain between and pages, but you'll also find plenty journals with more or fewer pages.
